Wegners CH110 desk  is completely different to Wegner's previous designs; the tabletop is streamlined and rests lightly on stainless steel  legs. The desk´s symmetrical drawers features handmade mortise and tenon joints, and stand-out minimalist handles.

In 1970, Hans J. Wegner came up with an exclusive office concept consisting of a desk and accompanying chair plus a slender easy chair. The complete series represents some of Wegner's very finest steel-framed furniture.

HISTORY

This desk was designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1970 as a part of a complete series of office furniture, including meeting and easy chairs, meeting and coffee tables, and sofas.
The series was produced in limited quantities in the 1970s.

It was out of production until 2008, when Carl Hansen & Son re-

launched parts of the series in connection with the company's 100th anniversary - hence the series name "CH100".

The CH110 desk was re-launched in 2011.

DESCRIPTION

The desk has a straightforward, cubistic design which has retained its contemporary look through the years.
The extravagant desk is great for executive offices or in private homes. The characteristic design of the desk employs hand-polished, stainless steel legs and a wide wooden desktop in oak or walnut.

The desk has many beautiful details, some visible some hidden, such as the long sleek drawers finished with dovetail joints, the flexible compartments inside the drawers and the stainless steel handles. Lock and key is included.

Made from hardwood and stainless steel.

THE DESIGNER

As a driving force behind 'Danish Modern', Hans J. Wegner helped change the general public's view of furniture in the 1950s and 1960s. His passion for designing chairs, more than 500 of them, is recognized worldwide and reflected in his title 'the Master of the Chair'. He is famous for integrating perfectly executed joints with exquisite shapes and combining them with a constant curiosity for materials and deep respect for wood and its natural characteristics. His designs furnish minimalism with organic and natural softness.
