Acquisitions was the first British company to revive the necessary iron-foundry skills and produce mantels in the authentic manner, with patterns derived from Georgian right through to Edwardian times. Attention to detail is our top priority: these cast-iron designs - made at the original scottish foundry and available in a fully polished finish - have a clarity of definition which has become the industry's benchmark for quality.
The magnificent PEACE AND PLENTY exemplifies Acquisitions’ approach to quality iron casting. This ornate period design incorporates two classic allegorical figures – Peace holding an olive branch and Plenty holding the Horn of Plenty and a jug of wine – and is a nostalgic reminder of past excellence. It is shown in a polished finish, along with the Cameo polished insert with coal-effect fire (solid-fuel option available) and a granite hearth.
